Uncryptic Colouration: Environments of Creative Possibility No. 1 & 2

PhD Student at Lakehead University

Created from the findings of a SSHRC funded project on Teacher Creativity, this piece is influenced by my positionality as an artist, teacher, and researcher and inspired by the potential of creativity to be a significant and transformative force in the lives of teachers and students. For teachers, this potential is often hidden and camouflaged in classroom settings, limiting our expressive individual natures and authentic co-producing relationships with those that we teach. As a response to the often juxtaposing tensions introduced by pressures for conformity and safety, this series reflects the hopeful spirit of possibility that can enable transformative change in education.
